Loving it. In this episode, I have to thank Flight of the Conchords for the theme song. MUCH LOVE. You guys rock! Check out the theme song.

Well, we’ve done it, we’re dreamt, we’ve written, now we’re going to cement the idea.

I am including my ideas document for you all to use. Just quick little paragraphs that I put together. Feel free and use it.

    Mike, what the heck? you’re thinking way too small. Maybe small’s not the right word, too traditional. If you’re going to start a band, and it’s going to be virtual, why not play EVERY part? You could be the first one-man-multi-player band. Record multiple avatars in Second Life for example. Or the photography idea, why dismiss it because you don’t have the skill. Traditional thinking is “must develop lots of skill to take 1 amazing carefully constructed photo”. Why not be the “anti” photographer? The photographer with little to no skill. Who takes lots of random photos, which together tell an amazing story. The sum of the parts etc. C’mon Mike, I think I know you or at least I used to, and one thing you’re passionate about is being unique, being different. Breaking the mold. If it’s a traditional business, been there, done that, it won’t keep the Mike Davis’ attention for very long.

    Francis, come on now, you think it’s going to your traditional run-of-the-mill business? But I’m glad you’re watching AND commenting. And if I disappoint you, I want you to challenge me to raise the bar on outlandish unique differentiators. I am thankful that you’re keeping an eye on it, and making sure the quality bar does not drop :) Keep on rockin! Nothing has changed bro, it’s just a few years later, a few more businesses under the belt, but with this one, everything is gonig to be totally transparent, which is going to make it all the more challenging to keep the competative advantage!
